Do you …

  • have a master’s degree in architecture and are interested in Codes and Standards?
  • have 5 years of experience including some experience as a consultant in Codes and Standards?
  • have a membership to the Ordre des Architectes du Québec?
  • competency to communicate verbally and in written both in French and English?
  • have access to a vehicle and possess a valid driver’s licence?

How would you like to join Technorm’s multidisciplinary team? Our main pride is our professional and renowned architects, building engineers and experts in building codes and standards. Are you passionate about building codes? Are you looking for a stimulating and motivating work environment? We are offering a unique position: an architect that will grow in our Civil, Construction and Structure team.

Technorm is looking for a dynamic rare gem! If you like working autonomously, then you would love to lead investigations about the origin and the cause of damages of the building envelope. If you are an excellent writer, you will be able to maximize this ability in generating technical reports. If you have capacity of making a clear and informed judgment on complex situations thanks to a rigorous analysis ability, then Technorm wants to meet you! You will analyze elements collected from sites damaged by fire or water, complete the necessary research and write an expert report.

Do you have…

  • A master’s degree in architecture and an interest for the technical aspect of architecture?
  • A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in forensic expertise?
  • A membership to the Ordre des Architectes du Québec?
  • A valid card granting you access to worksites?
  • The ability to communicate, by writing and speaking, in French and English?
  • A curiosity and interest in reading and researching information about building engineering cases?
  • The ability and interest in communicating and vulgarizing technical terms?
  • A vehicle and a valid driver’s licence to travel around Montreal, its surroundings and occasionally across the province?

You are an excellent technical writer and have a great analytical spirit? You like to lead projects in collaboration with clients and peers? You are excited by the idea of helping your clients and colleagues in the detailed application of regulations? You like to guarantee the compliance of applicable regulations in construction projects? You take pleasure in helping the design team in finding different conception and construction solutions to meet Code requirements? You work quickly, diligently and professionally and want to evaluate distances in drawings of occupied buildings or in construction sites? This position is for you! You will work as a technologist by leading technical investigations in industrial mechanics, industrial equipment, broken equipment and diverse machinery.

Do you have…

  • A diploma of collegiate studies (DEC) in building engineering (building systems/mechanical) and a passion for Codes and standards??
  • 1 to 3 years of experience in the building field? Experience with commercial buildings, in refrigeration (refrigerationist) or other is an asset.
  • The ability to communicate, by writing and speaking, in French and English?
  • A mastery of Autocad and the Office suite?
  • A membership to the Ordre des technologues professionnels du Québec?
  • A vehicle and a valid driver’s license to be mobile?
