In Montreal: Due to traffic and lack of dedicated parking, we recommend going to Maison du développement durable by subway. Nearby stations are Saint-Laurent (green line) and Place-d’Armes (orange line). Limited parking is available in the streets nearby, most probably with a fee.

In Quebec City: Indoor and outdoor parkings are both free of charge. A recharging station for Tesla electric vehicles is also available.

Other towns: Please contact the training services team to find out more about the training locations.

Meals

The lunch is sometimes included for one-day courses: see the “Renseignements complémentaires” section in course page.

You may bring your own lunch, but the registration fee already includes the cost of a meal which cannot be deducted from the total price.

Yes. The word “English” appears in brackets after the names of training sessions that are offered in English.

Online training sessions

When you have registered and your payment has been received, you will have access to the documentation and you will see a button that will give you access to the online training session.
The trainer will be online approximately 10 minutes before the session begins so that you can test your connection.

However, the trainer cannot assist you with technical difficulties or with computer configuration. If you experience technical difficulties, please contact our technical support department:

You must have access to a computer in a quiet room and reliable Internet access. A wired Internet connection is preferable to a Wifi connection. Wifi connections can sometimes be unreliable and participants may be disconnected from the training session if their connection drops.

We suggest using the following Internet browsers: Firefox or Internet Explorer/Edge. Logging on using Google Chrome can cause sound and microphone problems.

You are not required to have a webcam or a microphone, but if you do, you will be better equipped to interact with the trainer and ask questions.

You will be able to hear the trainer’s explanations and type questions using a chat application.
A microphone may be useful for asking questions verbally rather than via a chat application.
During presentations, participants’ cameras are generally turned off to minimize connection issues.

Yes, our training sessions can be accessed using tablets and smartphones. However, the video quality will be reduced compared to the quality when accessing the course from a computer because you will be connecting via Wifi. Please read the answers to the following question: Do I need anything in particular in order to take an online course?

During the training session, you will hear the trainer’s explanations and will be able to type questions using a chat application.

You can also use the States button.

Click on “Raise your hand” to ask the trainer a question.

The trainer will hear a sound and then read the question you have typed in the chat application or will ask you to turn on your microphone so that you can ask a question verbally.

The trainer may also ask questions to the participants and ask you to provide an answer or select an option.

We strongly suggest that you take the online training course in a quiet, closed room where there are no distractions.

All documentation will be available on the training platform 10 days before the training session. Therefore, you do not need to bring a laptop to your training session, but it could be practical if you have not printed the course notes. Depending on the power of your laptop, you may need to bring an extension cord to plug your laptop in. Our training sessions take place in multi-use rooms.

Trainer

The trainer’s name is shown at the bottom of the training session webpage. On this webpage, you will also find a link to his/her professional resume.

The trainer will be available to answer any questions you may have during the training session. When you are taking a training course that lasts several days or several half-days, the trainer will provide his/her contact information so that you can contact them.

If you have any questions about the training sessions, please email formation@technorm.qc.ca.

The trainer is available to answer any questions you may have during the training session. This is the appropriate time to ask questions. Please note that there is always an opportunity to ask questions at the end of the session.
Due to professional ethics, our trainers are not in a position to give an opinion on a specific project during a training session. As a result, we would ask you to keep your questions general. If, after a training session, you have specific questions about a particular subject, you can contact one of the Technorm Group Directors and they will let you know who can best assist you.

Accreditations and certifications

Several of our trainers hold accredited trainer certificates under the Regulation respecting the accreditation of training bodies, training instructors and training services. Please contact us if you would like to find out if your trainer has a certification number or find out which Technorm training sessions can lead to obtaining certification numbers.

Yes, the training sessions offered by Technorm are eligible under most of the continuing education programs of industry associations and professional bodies. The sessions allow you to accumulate hours of continuing education training when the content is related to your professional activities.

As required by industry associations and professional bodies, we provide certificates to all participants. You can access your certificate by logging on to your Personal Account within a few days of attending the training session.
