Ginette Lafontaine joined Technorm Inc. as an architect in 1995. She works on the Codes and Standards – Fire Safety team.

She analyzes the application of construction and fire safety regulatory requirements at the design stage of new and existing buildings. She inspects and verifies buildings in order to evaluate their compliance to the main requirements and to establish the major alterations required.

Her work also includes the preparation and presentation of alternative solution applications to be submitted to competent authorities for projects in which the regulation would be hard to apply. Alternative solutions are elaborated to respect the objectives of those regulations while proposing other ways to reach an adequate and sufficient security level.
