Marc-André Langevin, P.Eng., M.Eng., M.A.Sc.
Marc-André Langevin joined Technorm Inc. as an engineer in 2004. He became a partner in 2005 and now assumes the role of President since 2011.
He continues to perform regulatory compliance testing on high-rise, commercial and industrial buildings. He supervises and carries out numerical analysis with fire and evacuation modeling. He diligently inspects and verifies buildings in real estate transactions or during delivery at the end of a construction work.
He provides forensic expert assessments on damaged buildings and structures, and for matters involving professional and civil liability and personal injuries. He regularly appears in court as an expert witness.
Since 2014, he is an active member of the Standing Committee on Fire Protection of the Canadian Commission on Building and Fire Codes (CCBFC), mainly for the elaboration of Part 3 of the National Building Code. M. Langevin is President of the Association des consultants en code du bâtiment since May 2017. Finally, since 2007, he is lecturer (Code du bâtiment and Sécurité incendie dans les bâtiments de grande hauteur) at École Polytechnique de Montréal and also a trainer accredited by the Chambre de l’Assurance de Dommages du Québec (ChAD)
