Mathieu Létourneau-Gagnon
Professional Engineer
Mathieu Létourneau-Gagnon, engineer, joined Technorm in 2021 as a technical consultant in the Codes, Standards and Fire Safety team.
He is now part of the Fire Origin, Cause and Propagation team. He participates in forensic investigations to determine the origin, cause and spread of building fires.
He also participates in various mandates concerning regulatory requirements analysis in construction and fire safety for wooden constructions in existing projects as well as buildings at their conception stage. He writes technical evaluations for the application of regulations, codes and standards. He also works on fire modelling to understand fire behaviour and assists the preparation of alternative solution applications.
Education
- Master’s degree in wood and bio-based material engineering – with dissertation (Laval University, 2021)
- Co-op Bachelor’s degree in wood engineering, specialization in wooden construction (Laval University, 2018)
- College Diploma in natural sciences, specialization in pure and applied science (Édouard-Montpetit College, 2014)
