Our Privacy Officer is responsible for responding to requests for access, rectification, information and any complaints you may have regarding our practices with respect to your personal information.
PRIVACY POLICY
1 - Who is this policy intended for? What does it cover?
The purpose of this Privacy Policy (“Policy”) is to inform you of how Technorm Inc. (“Technorm”) collects, uses, discloses, maintains, and destroys (“processes”) your personal information to the extent required by the Privacy Act (the “Act”). This Policy also explains how Technorm protects your personal information and your right to access it.
Technorm will handle your personal information in accordance with this Policy, unless you have previously authorized Technorm to handle it differently.
This policy applies to all personal information that Technorm processes about you, regardless of the medium or source (websites, email, telephone, etc.).
By reviewing this policy and providing us with your personal information, you consent to our use and disclosure of that information as described below. If we need your consent for purposes not covered by this Policy, we will obtain it separately (e.g., for employee personal information).
2 - What information do we collect?
In the course of our activities and services, Technorm may collect or receive personal information about you.
Some of this information is public and therefore not confidential. However, they are listed below for the sake of completeness.
2.1 - Users of the Continuing Education Platform
When you register on our Continuing Education Platform, the following information is required:
Your contact information, such as your name, email address, mailing address, or phone number, which may be used to identify and contact you,Y
Your login information, such as a username,
Marketing information and contact preferences, such as for comments or responses to surveys;
Non-personal information that does not directly or indirectly reveal your identity or relate directly to an identifiable individual, such as
information about training and learning progress,
statistical or aggregate information. Statistical or aggregate data does not directly identify a specific individual, but we may derive non-personal statistical or aggregate data from personally identifiable information.
Personal and non-personal data related to your professional activities.
Please note that the payment details you enter on the platform (such as credit card number, expiration date and security code) are not stored* by Technorm.
Our Lära training platform links to the payment connector via an i-frame provided by the payment connector, and it is on this page that you enter your payment details. The payment connector will then process the transaction according to the parameters provided by the platform and return a transaction status token (success, failure, etc.), which is used by the platform to determine whether the payment was successful (click here for details). However, the billing address and contact are retained in order to be applied on the invoice.

3 - How we collect your personal information
The personal information we collect is gathered as described below:
Through you: Personal data that is provided directly by you, such as when you contact us, complete an online form, register on the training platform, and generally use our services.
Through automated processes: When you use our services, we obtain some information through automated processes, such as the pages you visit. For more information, see the Cookies policy page.
With the exception of essential cookies, even if you have consented to their use, you may withdraw your authorization at any time. You may do so by changing the settings on your browser or mobile device.
However, some pages or sections of our sites may not display properly, or some features may not be available if you choose to decline cookies.
4 - Why we collect your personal information

5 - With whom we communicate and share your personal information
In the course of our activities, we may need to communicate and share your personal information with various parties.
5.1 - Employees
Our employees may need access to your personal information as part of their duties. Their access is limited to what is necessary to perform their duties.
5.2 - Third Parties
From time to time, we disclose your personal information with agents or service providers to help us provide all our services (maintenance, analysis, legal requirements, fraud detection, marketing, and development).
Some of these organizations or companies may store personal information disclosed to them outside of Quebec.
Before Technorm discloses your personal information to third parties, we will take reasonable steps to ensure that your personal information is protected.
These third parties are also required to maintain the confidentiality and security of your personal information and may only use it for the purposes described above.
5.3 - Law Enforcement and Other Legal Requirements
In some circumstances, Technorm may be required to disclose your personal information if required to do so by law or in compliance with valid requests from public authorities (such as a court or government agency).
6 - How we protect your personal information
We endeavor to apply the necessary and appropriate protective measures to ensure the confidentiality of the personal information in our possession.
6.1 - Policies and Management
To protect the confidentiality and privacy of the personal information we store, Technorm has implemented physical, administrative, and technical measures. In addition, our infrastructure is managed by a specialized third party.
Through training and awareness-raising activities, Technorm makes its employees aware of the importance of protecting the privacy of personal information.
6.2 - Access Restrictions
Only authorized and qualified personnel who need to view your personal information to perform their job have access to it.
In general, physical access to our premises is restricted and determined by the function of the personnel.
6.3 - Robust Security Measures
We comply with generally accepted industry standards, including, but not limited to
Multi-Factor Authentication (“MFA”) for employee accounts, access to servers and applications where possible, otherwise strong password requirements
Role-based access management
Network monitoring software
Firewall
Data encryption and exchange security protocols enabled where available
6.4 - Supplier Framework
Contracts now contain clauses regarding confidentiality and the return or destruction of documents containing personal information.
We also include an obligation to report any risk or breach to the confidentiality of personal information.
6.5 - Length of storage
We will keep your personal information for as long as necessary for the purposes described in this Policy or to comply with our legal obligations.
We will delete personal information that has become obsolete or unnecessary. You may request the correction or deletion of information at any time in accordance with Section 8 of this Policy.
6.6 - Caution!
However best we try, no security measure is absolute or completely guaranteed. If you have reason to believe that your interaction with us is no longer secure (for example, if you believe that the security of any information you have provided to us has been compromised), please contact us immediately at the address set forth at the top of this page.
7 - What are your rights
Technorm is committed to respecting your privacy and ensuring that you can exercise your rights. According to this Policy, and the law, you have the right to:
7.1 - Withdraw Your Consent
You may withdraw your consent to the use and disclosure of your personal information at any time. However, we may not be able to provide you with certain services.
Any individual may request to withdraw consent by sending a written request to the Privacy Officer at the address listed at the top of this page.
7.2 - Access and Correct Your Personal Information
You have the right to access, update, correct any incomplete or inaccurate information, or delete the information we hold about you.
Whenever possible, you may access, update, or request deletion of your personal information directly in the Settings section of your account. If you are unable to perform these actions yourself, we invite you to contact Technorm. This will also allow you to obtain a copy of the personal information we hold about you.
Any concerned person may request:
access, rectification, deletion of their personal information
- information about the collection, use and disclosure of their personal information
by sending the request to the Privacy Officer at the address indicated at the top of the page.
Technorm will respond to such request within 30 days of receipt of the request. Otherwise, Technorm shall be deemed to have refused to comply with the request.
7.3 - Filing a Complaint
Any interested person may file a complaint regarding Technorm’s personal information protection practices or its compliance with the requirements of the Act. The complaint must be sent to the Privacy Officer at the address at the top of the page, who will respond to the complaint within 30 days.
You also have the right to complain to a data protection authority about our collection and use of your personal data. For more information, if you are in Quebec, please contact the Commission d’accès à l’information du Québec.
Any individual may submit a request to the Commission d’accès à l’information du Québec to review a dispute concerning the right to access or rectify his or her personal information.
If a dispute arises because Technorm refuses to comply with a request or fails to respond within the time limits set out in sections 7.1 and 7.2 of this Policy, the person concerned must submit the dispute to the Commission within 30 days of the refusal to comply or the expiry of the time limit for responding.
8 - Links to third party websites and services
Technorm’s websites may contain links to third party websites, plug-ins, services, social media, or applications that are not operated by Technorm. Clicking on these links or activating these connections may allow the third party to collect or share information about you.
Technorm strongly recommends that you read the privacy policy of each website you visit. Technorm has no control over, and assumes no responsibility for, the content, privacy policies or practices of any third-party sites or services.

We may change this Policy at any time and will post the most current version online.
This Privacy Policy was last updated on January 25, 2024.
In case of discrepancy with the French version, the French version shall prevail.
