Marina Banuta has more than 30 years of experience in the field of materials and metallurgical engineering. She joined Technorm in 2018 as a materials and metallurgical engineer in the Mechanical and Materials Engineering team. In 2019, she assumed leadership of the team as Head of Department. Her strong leadership and strategic insight led to her appointment as Head of Operations in 2024.

She conducts forensic investigations in various fields such as industrial, hydro-power generation, maritime, manufacturing, chemical, petrochemical, food and beverage, and oil and gas. She also performs failure investigations on metallic materials in complex equipment failures, examinations of all types of materials in laboratory, and corrosion investigations.

Marina has performed more than 1,000 investigations to date. She has testified as an expert witness in several cases tried by the Québec courts of law.
